Pick Your Color of the Year, and get an intuitive taste for 2012!

It’s time for the 3rd Annual Color of the Year Project!

Starting on January 1st, I’ll use my intuition to tell you what your color means for 2012.

This is one of my most popular posts of each year.  It’s a terrific way to lightly focus on the year ahead.

And I love doing it! I get a glimpse into the energy of so many fascinating people! Like you!

Here’s How You Can Participate:

1.  Use my little intuitive process to identify your color for the year 2012.

2. Post a picture or a description of the color (or tell me the pantone #) in the comments of my December 31st Post.

3.  I’ll take a look, tune in and tell you what I see about your 2012 and how that color relates!

This is  limited to the first 50 people!

Here’s an example from last year:

Kyeli

My color is pomegranate red.
I was feeling it, then I clicked on your color-picking linky thing, and that is totally the color that it chose, too.
Ta-da! Pomegranate red!

Kyeli-
Pomegranate red is deep red mixed with purple, and it is one of the most powerful colors that one can pick. It’s the red of the 1st chakra and the purple of the 7th chakra. The 1st and 7th chakras are partners, being our conduit points between the holy ground below and the divine above.

The 1st chakra is the chakra of personal history. The 7th chakra is collective consciousness. Integrating these as your year’s experience, is deeply, deeply powerful, life-changing, and supportive.

What’s Different This Year?

Two things are different this year:

Anam Cara Necklace from Shop at the Bridge

1. First, if you share your color, you have two opportunities to win some  gorgeousness!

If you blog, instagram, or pinterest about your color and this project, linking back to my site, your name goes into a hat.

Two people win one of our beautiful, healing Shop at the Bridge Necklaces. The Anam Cara Necklace is just an example. Our winners will receive necklaces that include their color of the year, as well as healing stones to support their 2012 journeys .

2. I’m asking everyone whose color I read to donate $5 to the charity of their choice.

Charity: Water

If you are at a loss about what charity to support, might I suggest Charity:Water?

(I am doing a year-long campaign with them called 90 Minutes to Water. More talk about that after the new year. It’s going to support your health and my health, while developing a clean water project for a community in Africa!)

When you post your color comment on December 31st or January 1st, please write I donated my $5.  If you want to say who you donated to, and include a link to your charity of choice, that’s cool too!

THE POST HAPPENS ON DECEMBER 31st at 11 am PT. The comment section will close after 50 entries. They will go fast. And then, on January 1st, I’ll start answering your colors.

Okay, ready?  Here’s the Intuitive Process for Picking Your Color.

(read it first, then try it)

Close your eyes and take a deep breath.

Take another deep breath.

On your next deep, but comfortable breath, count how long your inhale lasts.

Make your exhale the same length.

This is not a contest for who has the biggest breath.  Just observe and count, don’t try to change it.

Do this breathing until you feel your body relax and your mind calm.

Then say my color for 2012 is…

And watch your color come forward in your mind’s eye.

This is the most accurate color for your year.

If you don’t get a color, try again. Or, you can also try this interesting test from ColourLovers: Color of the Year .

Don’t be nervous or worried about it. Don’t color your world with worry, honey.

Then blog, pinterest or instagram about your color linking back to my site and come back to the Intuitive Bridge on December 31st and share your color.  (Last year, we hit 50 commenters by 8 am Pacific . So come early, sweeties!)

YAY! Here’s to a wonderful 2012!

My color is the vernal green of spring. I’ll get a photo of it when it comes out, but for now, it is similar to #1dd300. I’m really surprised! I thought it would be in the yellow or orange families, and didn’t trust that the meditation would work, but it did! I vividly saw the vernal green that signifies new in the natural world. Which is totally fitting for my 2012. Thanks!

My chosen charity is the Southern Poverty Law Center, fighting against hate and for tolerance.

Hi Bridget! My color this year is a bright purple with fushia overtones. And I donated my $5 to http://www.saveourpetsfoodbank.org, a group that provides pet food and supplies so people having financial difficulties don’t have to choose between feeding their animal companions and feeding themselves! Everybody wins!

Kind of returning to my 2010 color, but feels more joyous and ever-changing. I really enjoy the impression of looking up through oceans of shifting blues and turquoises and rich purples toward the light of the sky :) )

    Bright Blessings, all ~

My color is Carribean Shallows (AKA Mateo) because it reminds me to relax, meditate, and of how much I enjoy snorkeling.
